Ottawa Elementary is doing a Shoe Drive! If you have any gently used shoes, boots, heels, or cleats that you’d like to donate, you can drop them off at Ottawa, the Buchanan Library, the Senior Center, or United Federal Credit Union. Donations are accepted through November 15th.
Any chemistry, anatomy, or environmental science students who are planning to attend the field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago should get their permission slips turned in to Mr. Cribley or Mr. Bennett by Tuesday, October 28th. Remember, that you must be eligible on Friday, November 7th to attend.
Attention ALL grades 8-12! It's time to start thinking about your Winterfest Dance Off routine! Get your mix and dance crew together. All music is due to Mrs. Elliott by January 9th so you have PLENTY of time to get your routine organized. Remember that all classes will be performing at the Winterfest pep rally and the winning crew will perform at halftime of the Winterfest game.
The Buchanan Community Schools Farm will be holding a Fall Fest on Friday, October 24th from 4-7 p.m. There will be hayrides, crafts, pumpkins, and free hot dogs and chips! Any high school students interested in volunteering should see Mrs. Frost for more details.
Disc Golf Club plays every Tuesday for 1 hour after school at the McCoy's Creek park. A new disc golf course in Buchanan will also be opening soon! Come check out this club and see Mr. Cribley or Mr. D with any questions. Everyone is welcome!
All students should sign up for Student Square. This will be your go-to place for school updates and need-to-know information.
The Spanish Club is going on a trip to South Bend on Sunday, November 2, for a Dia de los Muertos celebration. The event includes food trucks, live music, and flamenco dancing at the Morris. The school will provide transportation to the event. Please see Mr. Munyon or Mrs. Garland to sign up.
