Department of IT was established in the year 1999 with intake of 30 seats with bachelor of Engineering subsequently the department started the course on Mater of Technology ( IT) with intake of 18 seats in 2005. The main objective of the department is to promote research & development and teaching in the frontier areas of Information Technology. The IT is a field that continuous to evolve at a rate faster than other disciplines and the faculty of the department is well qualified & abreast themselves by attending refresher courses, conferences and involved in research work in various emergent areas. The department continuous to contribute to advances in IT & its striving to improve its position as one of the leading IT departments.
