Tara is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Epidemiology at Boston University School of Public Health. She conducted her doctoral training in Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and masters training in Public Health at George Washington University. Her expertise lies in employing epidemiological methods to investigate contributions of harmful heavy metals and air pollution as well as beneficial greenness exposure to later-life cognitive decline and development of Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia. Outside of her research Tara enjoys teaching data science and coding to undergraduate students, voraciously reading science fiction, and exploring the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul in all seasons on her bike and with her dogs (although not usually at the same time!)Â
