Welcome! I am a fifth-year linguistics Ph.D. student at Boston University.

My research interests are phonetics, phonology, language documentation and revitalization, and language acquisition. 

One of my main research projects focuses on different aspects of Ladino (Judeo-Espanyol), the language of Sephardic Jews. 

As a member of the Sephardic community and daughter of a native speaker, my main goal is to document it for both research and the creation of accessible language learning materials, which I am also developing in collaboration with Mango Languages. 

Another research project I am currently working on focuses on pronoun use among Israeli-Hebrew speakers.

I am also part of a research group that aims to re-examine default to opposite stress in Chuvash.

Along with my academic research, I am a science communicator, writing scripts for SciShow to make linguistics accessible to a wider audience and engage with it in new and interesting ways. You can find a playlist of videos I wrote here.
