I'm a PhD candidate in Mathematics at Boston University expected to defend in April 2026 under the advisement of Margaret Beck. I received my B.A. in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Bowdoin College in 2020. I am broadly interested in applying dynamical systems theory to address problems in environmental science, biology, and the social sciences. For more information, see my CV.
I am currently involved in four on-going research projects.
In my thesis work with Margaret Beck and Ryan Goh, I have proved the existence of exponential dichotomies for spatial dynamical systems associated with elliptic PDEs. These allow for the construction of bounded localized patterns relevant to biological, chemical, or physical processes. A preprint of our associated paper is available here. You can also watch a virtual talk I gave on the subject here.
I am one of the members of an AIM SQuaRE modeling transient immune responses to repeated viral exposures using flow-kick dynamical systems: An immuno-epidemiological model for transient immune protection: A case study for viral respiratory infections.
In collaboration with Jonathan Jaquette, I apply pseudospectral methods and validated numerics to find and continue of bifurcations excitable flow-kick dynamical systems.
Work started as part of my Bachelor's thesis with Mary Lou Zeeman and James Broda has developed into a novel a framework for understanding transient reactivity in two-dimensional linear differential equations. With applications to the study of biological resilience, the geometric insights offered by this perspective continue to produce exciting results. A preprint of our associated paper is available here.

At BU, I am currently a co-organizer of the Directed Reading Program. I love mentoring undergraduate students and am proud to have been the co-advisor of a UROP-funded undergraduate research project. I have served as both president and secretary of the AMS Graduate Student Chapter and helped to establish the Math & Stats Graduate Teaching Seminar.
I am also a member of the Math Climate Research Network (MCRN) where I am an organizer for the Northeast region and a coordinator of the mentoring program.
