Student attendees will be housed at the Campus1 MTL (link) off campus dormatories. These accommodations are an approximately 20 minute walk to the summer school location (see below) or a 10 minute Metro ride (2 stops).
Breakfast and dinner will be provided at the dormatory. Dinner will be provided buffet style at 6:30pm. This includes the weekend days of August 9 & 10.
The summer school will provide lunch each weekday. The students are on their own for lunch during the weekend.
You can get to these accommodations from the airport by either taking a taxi/uber or hopping on the 747 bus to the Rene-Levesque / Union stop downtown Montreal, followed by a 12 minute walk.
This will be discussed during the summer school. Please save all receipts. You should have received an email from the organizers about funding and budget. Please email the organizers if you have any questions in the meantime.
The summer school will be held in the Concordia University Conference Center in the John Molson Building.
The summer school lectures and workshops will take place entirely in the Concordia University Conference Centre, located on the 9th floor of the JMSB building at 1600 Blvd. De Maisonneuve Ouest. There will be clearly labelled signs in the lobby of the building that will direct you where to go once you arrive. Lunch will be served here each day of the summer school to all participants.
Week 1: We will use Matlab for the lab and tutorial parts of this week. Temporary licenses and introductory (self-guided and paced) tutorials, including this on-ramp will be provided to all participants in mid July so that they can become acquainted and be prepared for summer school activities.
Internet: Concordia University has the eduroam wifi service. Please check if your institution participates in this service and make sure you have an account. If your university does not have eduroam, see here for information on Concordia's guest wifi:
