Reducing anxiety
If your child is experiencing anxiety related to coronavirus, here are some simple activities you can do at home to give your child a tool for reducing anxiety.
- Calm down box
- Worry monster
- Worry airplane
- Relaxation jar
- Try using one of these finger labyrinths. Trace your finger slowly through the labyrinth, and slowly back out.
Heightened anxiety due to the virus may be amplified by the need for social distancing at this time. Crafts and activities in general can be a great way to reduce problems associated with social distancing. Here are some examples:
- Self esteem mobile
- Self esteem prompts to play with Candyland
- For something out-of-the-box, try observing footage from these aquarium webcams
- Try touring museums from home
