Preservation Society members will be on hand, dressed in period clothing along with period crafters demonstrating colonial life throughout the grounds. Visitors will be able to try reproductions of antique toys such as “Jacob's Ladder”. Children will be able to try their hands at dipping candles and punching tin ornaments to take home.
A beekeeper and many crafters will display their expertise which includes pottery, weaving, spinning, lace making, butter churning, quilters, felting and more. Some will have their wares for sale. Colonial gun reproductions will be on display for visitors to hold and try the sights. Visitors will not be permitted to fire the guns; trained re-enactors will do firing demonstrations throughout the day.
Did you know Garnet Valley sits on the only circular boundary in the country? Visitors will be able to view an old map and many pictures of this boundary line which separates Pennsylvania from Delaware and parts of Maryland.
Visitors can purchase tickets for chances to win one of many themed decorated baskets. The festival is free and will be held rain or shine. Questions? Contact BTPS at info@btps-pa.org.

Come out and tour the historic Southery Log House now located at 1645 Bethel Road. Built in the late 1600s, the log house was once a part of a 150-acre tract owned by the Southery family, some of the earliest settlers in Bethel Township. The grounds are part of the c. 1810 Garret-Booth-Cheney homestead.
Along with the tour, there will be demonstrations of colonial crafts, butter making and colonial toys for children to examine.
The event is FREE of CHARGE, but donations are appreciated to support local historic preservation.
