Click on +Families in the lower right-hand corner.
Click on "Turn on Family Access" to enable inviting families.
You can “Print Invites” or invite using email/phone # then "Invite Families"
You are provided with link that says "What happens after I send the invite?"
You will have to go into “Class Settings” (wrench icon) to "Manage Families" to see what families have connected to their child’s account/journal.
A total of 10 family members can be invited to view the student's journal.
Since both districts are using Seesaw to communicate with families since it is compliant with Ed Law 2-d instead of Bloomz, Remind, and Class Dojo, here is an overview of how you can communicate with them AFTER you've invited your families to your class.
Click on +Add
Then click on "Send Announcement"
Click on "Send to" and choose between:
All Students
All Family Members
All Students & Family Members
Complete your announcement.
You are able to + Add Attachment
Photo, Draw, Video, Upload, Note, or Link
Click check mark
Then click "Send Now"
On right-hand side, click on "Inbox," found beneath class name.
If you click on "Family Announcements," you’ll see all the announcements sent to the all the families.
Families can respond back to your announcement/message but the teacher is the ONLY person who can see their message.
Below "Family Announcements," you’ll see a list all family members that have been invited and connected their account.
This is where you can directly message a family.
Students cannot respond back to your announcement.
