Susan R. Nedza, Principal

I am excited about working with all of you and your children. I have worked with children of all ages for more than 25 years now. I have worked in Point Hope, Bethel, and Savoonga as well as in New York as a School Counselor and Principal in the past. I hold a Masters Degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Leadership.

I hope that we will meet soon and work together to make this a great year. If you or your child has a need or concern please let me know and I will work with you to help in any way I can.

I'm excited to be in Shaktoolik for my second year! I'm from Denver, Colorado and I graduated from The University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Early Childhood Education. This is my second year as the ECE teacher and I am excited for a fun year. I love playing volleyball and soccer, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. Shaktoolik has been such a wonderful place so far and I am looking forward to another year here.

Hi! I'm Stacey Paniptchuk. I grew up in Shishmaref, Alaska as Stacey Stasenko. :) Silas Paniptchuk moved me to Shaktoolik in September of 2007 when we were married. We now have 4 children! I am currently the 2nd and 3rd grade teacher. I love watching the children grew in so many ways each and every day and every year since I've been a teacher 2013. Besides teaching I love spending time with my family, sewing and subsisting.

I'm excited to join the community of Shaktoolik this year. I'm from Wyoming, in the northwest corner near beautiful Yellowstone National Park. I have a lot to learn from my students this year about their culture and about teaching. I hope we learn together! I love reading and learning, all things science, playing in the outdoors and being active, board games, and eating good food! Shaktoolik has been such a wonderful place of opportunities already, and I'm so happy to be here.
