Team Policies

Attendance Policy: Athletes must check-in with the designed senior or manager each day at practice.  Athletes must communicate, in advance, to head coaches if needing to miss.  Any unexcused absense will result in no meet participation for up to one week.

Athletes must wear sweat pants until their event coach(s) deem it necessary to remove them if the temperature is under 65 degrees.

Varsity Letter 2027 Season

• Automatic - 10+ Varsity Points*

Coaches Discretion Factors Possible to Potentially Earn Varsity Letter Without 10+ Varsity Points**

• Scored Points at SWBL Championship Meet

• Scored Points at District, Regional, or State Championship Meet

• PR at SWBL Championship Meet

• PR at District, Regional, or State Championship Meet

• 10+ Total Points (Varsity and JV Combined)

• Event Coach Input on Coachability and Overall Attitude/Sportsmanship

*Meets considered Varsity and meets considered JV will be established by the coaching staff at the beginning of the season.

*The only exception would be major unexcused attendance concerns and disciplinary concerns.

**For any coaches’ discretion factors to be considered in earning a varsity letter, team attendance, discipline, and sportsmanship expectations must be met.  Attendance expectations are for athletes to communicate absences to their head coach in advance whenever possible and for athletes to consistently continue to attend up to and including both days of the District Championship track meet.
