The Student Scientific Group of the Department of Pharmacy was established in 2005. Over the years, it has been headed by Associate Professor O. V. Herush, as well as by assistants O. M. Korovenkova, Zh. M. Haina, N. Ya. Muzyka, O. I. Shliusar, K. V. Sadohurska, M. M. Vatsyk, P. H. Ilashchuk, V. V. Sydor, and Ya. I. Honcharuk.
At present, the scientific supervisor of the Student Scientific Group is Associate Professor R. Yu. Basaraba.
The main objectives of the Student Scientific Group are:
to deepen students’ understanding of academic material in core and specialized disciplines;
to develop students’ skills in conducting scientific research;
to engage motivated and talented students in the research activities of the Department.
To achieve these objectives, members of the Student Scientific Group:
hold monthly meetings to discuss scientific presentations and review papers (on the last Friday of each month);
participate in departmental scientific seminars;
take part in scientific conferences, academic olympiads, and competitions;
actively recruit new members from among students.
During the 2024–2025 academic year, four Master’s qualification theses were successfully defended at the Department of Pharmacy:

Yana Kruglyk — “Pharmacovigilance and Regulation of the Rational Use of Antibiotics in Ukraine”
