Amanda Joy Myers obtained her Bachelor of Music, specializing in voice, and her Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education, from Eastern Oregon University. Across Oregon and California, she participated in many plays and musicals, was an active member in the EOU Chamber Choir, and taught Children's Choir and Children's Theatre. Amanda has acted as both a Music and Drama Teacher, as well as a Homeroom Teacher for a variety of age groups, Kindergarten through middle school, both in the United States and abroad. In Alaska, Amanda is a vocalist with the Alaska Chamber Singers, directs the Anchor Lutheran School Concert Choir, and works as the Worship Coordinator for Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Amanda is currently taking a break from full-time teaching to raise her two babies, Joy and Jack. Amanda is originally from a small town in Eastern Oregon. Along with her husband, Matthew Baxter, the family enjoys traveling the world, learning about new cultures, trying new foods, hiking, and camping.
