The SGA is a body that works for the school and is student-run. The two advisors help the SGA members reach their goals.
Student Government is a platform which gives all students a voice; promotes unity, happiness, safety, and collaboration. It ensures that student concerns are known. SGA will strive to treat every member of our community with equity and respect and are committed to the advancement and well being of all students as well improving relationships between students and staff.

Represent the Student Body to the leaders of the school:
Creates solutions and plans to address problems that affect students, brings attention to student problems to the staff and administration of the school, and gives important student input.

Helps to showcase accomplishments along with promote and facilitate student events.

Hosted by the SGA, we started off the year with an event showcasing all the clubs at BSA. This event was coordinated and hosted by SGA reps from the previous year.
Our election this year took place in October. We had an interest meeting in September which started off campaign season. We had a new record of 38 students running for 10 positions! Click here to see the results!
The SGA has run 2 town hall meetings to share information with students and listen to questions/concerns. The SGA leadership then takes those questions and concerns to the Administration.
The SGA worked all of December to plan and organize over 30 activities and booths for the holiday bazaar which started off with a celebration of the class of 2023's Senior Inguration. This was the first time BSA hosted a senior inauguration! Click here to see a list of this year's booths!
For the first year ever, students are involved in the planning and decision making around Prom at BSA. Three members of the SGA team also serve on the prom comitte.
The SGA planned meetings for each department to encourage community building across the grade levels.
During Crew time, the SGA planned a series of Art Therapy sessions that students could choose from. It was a very relaxing 40 minutes!
The SGA coordinated a student designer to make department specific Tshirts and Sweatshirts for sale!
Similar to the Holiday Bazaar, the SGA has organized and planned a Spring Festival with over 40 booths and activities including a Taharka ice Cream Truck and Video Game truck! Click here to see a list of this year's booths!
The SGA is currently planning for the Senior Farewell in May.
