Welcome, I am Samridhi Agarwal!

I am a student of MRes (Research Masters) Applied Economics (Public Policy and Development) at the Paris School of Economics. Previously, as a Senior Associate at the Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS), I worked in collaboration with the Finance Ministry of Tamil Nadu. Prior to this, I was a Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR) in Delhi. My research interests lie at the intersection of macroeconomics and development economics. I have worked on questions related to state capacity, the rural economy, fiscal federalism, and navigating both Union and state government budgets. I am particularly interested in the macroeconomic aspects of economic growth and development through a distributional lens, especially in developing economies like India.

I hold an MSc in Economics from the Barcelona School of Economics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from the Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics, Mumbai. I completed my undergraduate studies in Economics (Honours) from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi.
