The Trout Parade is ON for 2026! The Parade will take place on Friday, May 29th. More info coming soon!
Our next community puppet builds will be May 16 from 10am-2pm at the Flynn and May 23rd from 10am-2pm at SA . Check out the Flynn's website for all the details.
The Trout Parade is a celebration of Vermont and our brook trout, waterways, and inhabitants.
Every January, students at Sustainability Academy raise Brook Trout as part of Trout Unlimited’s Trout in the Classroom program. In the past, we have celebrated the release of the trout with a procession through our school and school grounds with puppets that honor trout and related creatures. This year, we are inviting the larger community to take part. We hope to continue a tradition that brings Burlington together to honor the waters of this land, our watershed and the creatures that swim, fly, crawl and share this space. Please join us! Trout themed outfits highly encouraged!
