Third-Party Resources & Student Privacy

Vetting third-party resources and ensuring the protection of student privacy.

Teachers who use third-party resources have completed the process outlined below. BSD7 requires that the vendor/company signs the Montana Data Privacy Agreement (DPA). If you have concerns regarding data privacy, please contact your child's teacher. A parent may elect not to have their child utilize a particular third-party resource. Children can receive alternative activities covering similar content.

Third-party resource vetting and approval process:

Step 1: Check BSD7 Approved Resources document

Reference this document for an alphabetized list of approved resources. We do our best to keep this list current and consistent with the Montana SDPC database. If your resource is approved, you may use it with students immediately. If you do not see your resource in the Approved section, scroll down to the Pending list.

      • If the resource is Pending, you must wait until it appears in the Approved section. There are no additional action for teachers to take at this time.

      • If the resource is not listed in the Pending section, please move on to the next step.

Step 2: Submit Kissflow Form

If your desired resource is not listed, please submit the I Want to Use This! form on Kissflow. Submission of this form will initiate our process for requesting the vendor to sign the Montana Data Privacy Agreement (DPA). Once the vendor has signed the agreement, you will be notified that the resource has been approved, and it will be added to our Approved section. You may not use the resource until that time.

⚠️ Reminder Teachers may no longer create anonymous logins for students.
