Here is where I will demonstrate my progress and work from studying French in school. My journey in French has not been easy, but has demonstrated so much growth in my high school years.

This is a slideshow I made my junior year during our french culture unit! I decided to make a famous french food, Crepes! This slideshow follows me during my experience making crepes, what went well, and what went badly. This was a really fun assignment! I wasn't confident in myself because this was the first time I've ever tried making crepes. One thing I learned is that crepes can be eaten in a savory way with meat and vegetables.
This is a doc that has a link to a video of me. This was the most frustrating and difficult assignment for me. This assignment was the first-ever oral assignment I was given in preparation for our IO. Although this assignment was difficult, it demonstrated my ability to understand main ideas and convey my opinion. This was the longest I had ever expected to talk. This was the first of many videos, and with each video, I kept getting better and better.
I have attached a link to a canva presentation. This assignment was during our Francophone unit, where we learned about french speaking countries besides France! For this assignment, I worked alongside my classmates while we learn and teach about Morocco, a Francophone country located in Africa. This project was interesting because we learned about how France's colonial expansion and colonized many countries in North Africa. Many countries, including Morocco, still speak French. What went well is how I was able to use collaborative skills, and how this expanded my knowledge of French history.
This picture shows a formal letter I wrote for an assignment. We had to choose a prompt, and follow formal structure and language. We praticed writing to an audience different to our peers or our teacher. What I enjoyed about writing this letter is that afterwards, we peer reviewed them with our table mates so we were all able to learn off each other. This will prepare us for our IB exam.
