Drum Major Auditions

Auditions will take place on Thursday, May 14th at 3:45PM, and an information session will take place on Thursday, May 7th at 3:45PM: signups will be below in the coming weeks.

Auditions will consist of conducting The Star-Spangled Banner and We're Loyal To You, Illinois, both linked below. These will be conducted dry and live. Please read the packet carefully, and work through the practice exercises in advance.

The second portion of auditions will consist of completing the long-answer questions on the packet. Please answer these with lots of detail. I am looking for students who have the right attitude about our band program, and who have the best intentions when considering applying for this role.

Section leaders will be chosen from Drum Major applicants: one person will become the Junior Drum Major, and others will become section leaders.

Please reach out with any questions via email at dpannell@bsd44.org.
