The mock admissions case study will examine the admission decision-making process at competitive colleges by using the fictitious applicant files listed below. An admissions committee will evaluate each applicant based on a holistic approach, considering not just academic achievements but also extracurricular involvement, personal essays, letters of recommendation, and demonstrated interest, and will then decide to admit, deny, or defer our applicants.
Registration is required for this portion of the evening to ensure space.
For the purposes of the Mock Admission Case Study, you will take on the role of an admission representative for the fictitious Douglas College. You will review the applications of three ficticous students. Please read the materials below in advance of the Mock Admission event to prepare for your participation in an admission committee discussion.
