About Me

Reading is one of my passions! My greatest hope for my students is for them to develop a love of reading.

I originally taught Social Studies, but switched to teaching reading in 2005.

I received a Master's degree in Reading and Literacy from Benedictine University.

I have taught 7th grade ELA and worked as a Reading Specialist in the past at BMS.

I live in Carol Stream with my husband, Mike, and two awesome daughters, MacKenzie and Madelyn. The picture to the left is from 2013, when Madelyn joined our family:).

Fun Facts:

• I am a huge Starbucks fan!
• One of my favorite places to visit is Brookfield Zoo. My family and I go there many times a year, especially in the summer.
• I went to Europe for my honeymoon, but have not been back. We are hoping to go for our 10th anniversary. Until then, I love Disney!
