What makes Troop 206 unique?
Troop 206 is a boy-led troop which allows boys to develop their leadership and independence. The boy leaders, with support from scout masters, choose the outings that the troop will go on each year, with favorites including Moaning Caverns, Shooting Sports, Point Reyes, a bike outing, orienteering, Pinnacles, and Prep treks. They do a Philmont or other high adventure trek each summer. The boy leaders also lead the troop meetings and choose activities such as cooking competitions, dodge ball, developing core scout skills, and advancement. The troop also has a parent-led annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser which both supports the troop and is a lot of fun!
