Bus assignment emails will be sent out prior to the Elementary Back to School Business day, allowing parents to make changes at Bryan Elementary on August 11th. Assignments will go to their email, not through ParentSquare (email will be from noreply@Transfinder.com). If parents cannot attend on August 11th, they can email transportation@bryanschools.net prior to the deadline.

Parents/Students are able to visit the main office to complete their back to school processes at their convenience on the following days:

Tuesday, August 11: Office hours are 9:30am - 6:00pm
6:00pm - 6th grade orientation - gymnasium
Wednesday, August 12: Office hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm

The system for making school meal deposits and to pay school fees online, is called PaySchools.
To learn more about PaySchools and set up your account, click here.
Bryan City Schools uses ParentSquare as our primary platform for all school-to-home communication. This includes school delays and cancellations, classroom communication, athletic updates, special events, classroom sign ups and more.
ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their information that is currently in PowerSchool. We encourage parents to download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:
Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification
Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm
Communicate in your preferred language
Direct message teachers, staff and other parents
Sign forms & permission slips, receive report cards, sign up to volunteer and more.

School Delays and Cancellations for Community Members
School Delays and Cancellations for Community Members
BCS has created a Community Group in ParentSquare called School Delays & Cancellations for Community Members. This group is exclusively for community members who are NOT current BCS students, parents of current students, or staff members.
This group is designed to keep individuals such as babysitters, Lifewise bus drivers, substitute teachers, and grandparents informed about school delays and cancellations.
Additionally, a second Community Group called District Updates has been created for those non-parent/staff/student community members who would like to receive our monthly district updates.
Current BCS students, parents, and staff members should NOT join either of these groups, as you will already receive this information directly through your existing BCS communication channels.
If you are not a BCS student, parent, or staff member and wish to join one or both of these groups, please click here or scan the QR code.

General School Fees:
HS (grades 9-12) Fee = $110
MS (grades 6-8) Fee = $50
BE (grades K-5) Fee = $50
Athletic Pay to Play Fee:
HS Student Athlete Fee Structure
$40 per season, with a cap at $80 for the year and a family cap of $160.
MS Student Athlete Fee Structure
$25 per season, with a cap at $50 for the year and a family cap of $160
All athletic fee collections will get spent in a manner to help our student-athletes and athletic programs as a whole.
As always, any student who qualifies through the Ohio Household Income Form has the ability for their school fee and/or athletic pay to play fee waived.

The MS/HS expansion project which adds a Career Tech Center, a new Junior High Gymnasium, and a new Weight Room is complete and ready for the 2026-2027 school year!
The general public are welcome to begin viewing the new addition on Monday, August 17 during the evening Open House from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
An invite-only Ribbon Cutting is being held on August 12 to formally dedicate the addition with local elected officials and community business representatives.
In part with our continual efforts to serve the community and our stakeholders at our highest levels, Bryan City Schools is expanding bus transportation services to students beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
BCS has reduced the current "walk zone" or "no bus transport zone" from one (1) mile down to a half (1/2) mile. This change will increase BCS transportation services to eligible households beginning with the 2026-2027 school year with approximately 130 students able to receive bussing. Additionally, all preschool mid-day students (except open enrolled) are also eligible for busing next school year.
These changes are meant to increase service to our community and will not require additional busses or drivers.

Important note from Nurse Joy regarding Immunization Requirements:
If your child is going into their senior year (2nd meningococcal), 7th grade (TDAP & Meningococcal #1) or Kindergarten (kindergarten boosters) they are due for vaccines. If they have not received these vaccines you can contact your healthcare provider or The Williams County Health Department for an appointment. These vaccines are required by the state of Ohio for school attendance.

Cell Phones - State Law
Student cell phones, per State Law, are NOT to be out or used during instructional time. Teachers may request for student cell phones to be placed in a specific classroom location to help avoid potential distractions.
Student cell phones also may NOT be used during AM or PM school transportation on school buses at the request of the driver.
Per State lawmakers, at times, cell phones may be used for instructional activity at the request of the teacher or to monitor or address a health concern if the student has a written statement from their physician.
With this State Law, if a parent/guardian needs to reach their student during the school day, we ask for parents/guardians to reach out to the school building's main office.
Athletic passes for the 2026-27 school year are available for purchase!
Visit our website to get an order form, then return with payment to the BHS Athletic office.
A reminder that once again Bryan City Schools will admit grades 7-12 Bryan students into all home games free. All Bryan students grades K-6 will be admitted free of charge with an adult admission. Children 5 and younger are free.

BCS is in HIGH need of substitute teachers. Anyone with a high school diploma (or equivalent) is eligible to sub. BCS pays teacher substitutes $125 per day.

Nathan Gilbert, a 2005 alumni of Bryan High School, is spearheading a petition drive to create a Bryan City Schools Organizational License Plate through the Ohio BMV!
150 signatures are needed to move the petition along to the Ohio Legislature.
WE ONLY NEED 70 MORE SIGNATURES!!!
