Used to enhance clinical learning for specialty experience
Direct supervision- staff nurse is present in the clinical setting and available to the student at all time
Responsible for no more than one student at a time
Faculty provide indirect supervision
periodic inspection and evaluation
available to be contacted for consultation and collaboration
Qualifications:
unencumbered license to practice nursing
competence related to area of assigned clinical
designated by manager and peers as a collaborator and leader among nurses
