AMDM Class Overview
An option for the fourth mathematical course, it is accepted for admittance in Georgia Universities, but does not meet the requirements for STEM majors. Topics covered in this course include data analysis, rates, ratios, probability, sampling and statistics. It involves the use of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and discrete mathematics to model a range of situations and solve problems in diverse areas such as statistics and financial mathematics with the emphasis being placed on practical applications and the use of technology.
Advance Algebra Class Overview
Advanced Algebra is designed to build upon the foundational concepts introduced in Algebra I, preparing students for higher-level mathematics such as Pre-Calculus and Calculus. This course emphasizes the development of abstract thinking, problem-solving skills, and the application of algebraic methods to real-world scenarios. Students will explore functions, systems of equations and inequalities, polynomials, rational expressions, radical functions, exponential and logarithmic relationships, and introductory statistics and probability.
About Me
I am a Kansas native who loved the ocean and moved to Richmond Hill. I grew up in the small town of Chapman, KS (Pop. ~1200). I played every sport I could and eventually received a scholarship to play football. I played two years at Dodge City Community College, then transferred to Kansas State University on a ROTC scholarship. When I graduated I commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, where I served for eight years. I was medically retired in 2016, when I started to teach.
I am currently teaching here for my ninth year, and coaching both football and wrestling. I have two kiddos Jaxson (15) and Emersyn (12), and I am married to my high school “sweatheart” Chanelle. I am excited to get to know all of you and looking forward to a wonderful year.
