2025 Tryout Information
Tryouts: January 21st - January 30th, 2025

Time: Tryouts will be held after school until 5:30pm.
Tryout Schedule: Round 1
January 21st: 6th grade & ALL goalkeepers
January 22nd: 7th grade & ALL goalkeepers
January 23rd: 8th grade & ALL goalkeepers
1st Cut - Friday January 24th
Tryout Schedule: Round 2
January 27th - 31st: All players remaining from the first cut
2nd Cut - Wednesday January 29th
Final Cut - Friday January 31st
Cuts will be posted on the website below as well as in the Tryout Google Classroom.
Check for names invited after each round of cuts.
Girls will report to room 424 at 3:15pm for tryouts.
Pickup: Parents and Guardians may pick up athletes at the car rider line shortly after 5:30pm.
Tryout Expectations:
RHMS girls' soccer is a highly competitive team that will have cuts. On average, the roster is made up of 20-25 athletes ranging from 6th to 8th grade. All grades play on the same team and compete against players ranging from 11 years old to 15 years old. Soccer club affiliation does not affect the final roster at RHMS, however, most players attending tryouts play at high levels at a variety of local clubs, academies etc. On average we have 100+ RHMS athletes across the three grades trying out for 20+ positions. It is not required, but players who make the team are typically skilled and dedicated soccer players who compete at the high levels at the club, academy, select, etc. level. We encourage all players to join a local club or team and attempt other sports at RHMS during the other seasons to help increase their strength, speed, and soccer skills.
Requirements:
Players are required to have cleats and shin guards to try out.
Good academic standing (not eligible to participate if failing two or more classes)
Minimal classroom behavior concerns
7:30 min. mile pace or better
Advanced understanding of soccer tactics and positions
Advanced soccer skills, speed, strength, and endurance
