What is District Honor Choir?
DHC is an opportunity for 6-8th graders to sing with the top choristers in our district! If chosen by Mrs. Carden, you will represent RHMS by being part of a chorus made up of several other middle schools in our area. You will be given several pieces of music that you will be responsible for learning (Mrs. Carden will help!). During the event, you will travel with Mrs. Carden and work with a guest conductor. At the end of the event, there will be a concert for parents see what you have been working on!
What: District Honor Choir
Where: Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA
When: January TBA
Cost: $25, plus money for 2 meals
How to apply: Sometime in November, Mrs. Carden will send around an interest form during class. To be considered for DHC, make sure you write your name down. Mrs. Carden will choose students from the list. She will take grades, work ethic, and class attitude into consideration.
