Expectations:

RHMS boys soccer is a competitive team that will have cuts. On average, the roster is made up of 20-25 athletes ranging from 6th to 8th grade. All grades compete on the same team and compete against players from 11 years old to 15 years old. On average we have 100+ RHMS athletes across the three grades trying out for these 20+ positions. It is not required, but players who make the team are typically highly skilled and dedicated soccer players. We encourage all players to join a local club or team and attempt other sports at RHMS during the other seasons to help increase their strength, speed, and soccer skills.

Requirements: 

• Players are required to have cleats and shin guards to try out.

• Good academic standing (not eligible to participate if failing two or more classes)

• Minimal classroom behavior concerns

• 7:30 min. mile pace or better 

• Advanced understanding of soccer tactics and positions

• Advanced soccer skills, speed, strength, and endurance
