I will check on Mondays until teachers return to work on Monday July 24th for preplanning. There is no summer assignment, but there is suggested readings you can do over the summer to be prepared for the first week. Look under Zero Unit for the unit planner and other information we will cover in the first month of school.

Welcome to Advanced Placement World History! My name is Jennifer Kea, and I cannot thank you enough for signing on to the challenge to take this course! The work will be rigorous, but if you work hard, you can be successful in this course! My goal is to prepare you for an actual college course with high school safety nets. This College Board curriculum for this course covers from the years 1200--Present. We will cover earlier time periods in the beginning of the course so you can become accustomed to the rigor we will tackle the entire year. You can do this! I believe in you, and I hope you will enjoy World History as much as I do!

Biography

My name is Jennifer Kea, and I am beginning my 17th year at Richmond Hill High School. This year is my 23rd year in education, and I love every minute of it. I also teach 10th grade World History. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Journalism in 1997, but my passion was found in the educational field. I have a Masters in Educational Technology and a Specialist degree in Curriculum. I am originally from Vidalia, Georgia, and I love living in Richmond Hill. I hope you enjoy AP World History as much as I do!
