Welcome!
I am beyond excited for this upcoming school year. I have a lot of exciting hands-on activities planned for my 6th-8th Grade Computer Science and Coding classes that will push you and your creativity to amazing levels. We will explore various aspects of coding, including programming for Spheros and drones, as well as the creation of apps and websites. We will even delve into sessions where students can solve problems by coding these devices, and work on personal projects where they will experiment by creating and managing their own apps and websites.
Computer Science and Coding is about understanding how computers work and learning how to program them to perform various tasks. It includes studying logic, algorithms, programming languages, and the creative process of developing software and applications.
I have two goals for my my 6th-8th Grade Computer Science and Coding Classes:
That the class will be fun for the students so they can enjoy learning Computer Science and Coding concepts as they grow in their 6th-8th grade journey.
For students to develop a passion for Computer Science and Coding concepts and be able to apply these concepts personally through life experiences and being able to express their thoughts and solutions to show understanding.
I am looking forward to having you in my class. Just remember one important thing: whether it is in my class, another class, or here at school... Hakuna Matata - It means, "No Worries!"
