I am beyond excited for this upcoming school year. I have a lot of exciting hands on activities planned for my 6th Grade Social Studies classes that will push you and your creativity to amazing levels. We will venture through various countries, including: Europe, Latin America, Canada, and Australia. We will even traverse through sessions of cartography where students get a chance to read maps in various ways. As well as personal money management where students will experiment by creating their own budgets.

Social Studies is about the study of social relationships and the functioning of society; usually made up of courses in history, government, economics, civics, sociology, geography, and anthropology.

I have two goals for my 6th Grade Social Studies Class:

1. That the class will be fun for the students so they can enjoy the Social Studies Concepts as they grow in their 6th grade journey.

2. For students to develop a passion for the Social Studies Concepts, and be able apply the concepts personally through life experiences, and being able to express their thoughts and voice on a certain topic to show understanding.

I am looking forward to having you in my class. Just remember one important thing. Whether it is in my class, another class, or here at school.... Hakuna Matata - It means, "No Worries!"
