British Literature

 

Class Overview

This is a theme-related, literature-based, integrated course focused on British literature and its impact on our culture and society.  The literature includes works from  historical literary periods such as the Anglo-Saxon Period, the Elizabethan Period, the Romantic Period and the Twentieth Century. Students will be asked to read, write, and discuss material from a wide array of topics. The focus texts for the semester are Beowulf, The Canterbury Tales, Macbeth, Frankenstein, and 1984.

 

 

About Me

Hello students and parents! You have reached Mr. Stanford's British Literature class page! I have been teaching for more than 12 years. During that time, I have taught 9th Grade Literature, 10th Grade Literature, American Literature, and British Literature. In addition, I have taught several other classes in ELA and Social Studies, including World History, US History, and Government. In closing, I want to welcome each of you to class, and I look forward to a great year!
