Mrs. Tondreau Room 2424
Class Overview
Students will be able to apply knowledge and skills learned from the characteristics of science to analyze and evaluate components of the biological world. Examples of these include the chemical, microscopic, and macroscopic components of life, and analysis and categorization of biological processes and life forms. Other examples include comparison of the various types of cellular structures found within various types of multicellular organisms. Students should be able to explain and make conclusions about the interactions of life forms with their environment and synthesize these conclusions into explanations of direct and abstract observations. Students should also be able to make predictions that can be applied to the biological world around them. The concepts covered in this class build on each other. You will be connecting ideas throughout the entire semester.
About Me
I have a bachelor’s in Biology and Secondary Education, and a master’s in Elementary Education. I am certified in Biology, General Science, Humanities, and am Gifted Endorsed as well. I have been teaching for 15 years on both the middle and high school levels. I love dinosaur fossils, coffee, and the color orange. I am a morning person, typically having tons of energy and tend to be loud, so if you are second block: you are warned! 🙂 Biology is not easy. I work hard to make it as simple as possible, so I expect you to work at it as well. Prepare the flashcards!!
