Honors & Regular Biology

Class Overview

Students will be able to apply  knowledge and skills learned from the characteristics of science to analyze and evaluate components of the biological world. Examples of these include the chemical, microscopic, and macroscopic components of life, and analysis and categorization of biological processes and life forms. Other examples include comparison of the various types of cellular structures found within various types of multicellular organisms. Students should be able to explain and make conclusions about the interactions of life forms with their environment and synthesize these conclusions into explanations of direct and abstract observations. Students should also be able to make predictions that can be applied to the biological world around them.  The concepts covered in this class build on each other.  You will be connecting ideas throughout the entire semester.
