Class Overview
These courses offer opportunities to improve reading, writing, speaking/listening, and critical thinking skills through the study of various literary genres. Students develop an understanding that theme is what relates literature to life and that themes are recurring in the literary world. Students explore the effect of themes in regard to interpretation. Students will demonstrate competency in a variety of writing genres: narrative, argumentative, expository, and technical. Students will engage in research, timed writings, and the writing process. Instruction in language conventions will occur within the context of reading, writing, and speaking, rather than in isolation.
About Me
Welcome! My name is Stacy Harding. This is my 4th year here at RHHS and my 8th year teaching. I teach English- Literature and Composition I & II. I sponsor our Boys Volleyball Club and am also a part of the Lady Wildcats Soccer coaching staff. I am a native of Richmond Hill and a Wildcat for life! If you can't find me at RHHS, I'm most likely fishing, walking, reading, at the beach, or spending time with my two daughters and boxer dog, Odin!
