Math Unit 4:  Building Fraction Understanding

• Compare and order fractions with different numerators and denominators

• Model addition and subtraction of fractions and mixed numbers with unlike denominators to solve problems.

• Ask and answer questions based on data represented with a dot plot to solve relevant problems.

Math Unit 5:  Making Sense of Fraction Multiplication and Division

• Explain the meaning of a fraction as division of the numerator by the denominator

• Solve problems involving division of whole numbers with answers in the form of fractions or mixed numbers
