Economics
Economics is the study of how individuals and groups make decisions with limited resources as to best satisfy their wants, needs, and desires. The essence of economic understanding lies in being able to make sense out of the array of economic facts, events, observations, and issues that unfold. Citizens must possess an understanding of economics to become effective decision-makers and responsible participants, not only in democratic societies such as our own, but in societies throughout the world as well.
