Health and PE Overview

Welcome to Health and PE! This course is designed to equip you with essential knowledge and practical skills to lead a healthy and balanced life. Throughout the semester, we will explore various topics related to physical, mental, and emotional well-being, with an emphasis on making informed decisions that positively impact your overall health. Our curriculum will cover nutrition and fitness, substance abuse prevention, mental health awareness, stress management, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Engaging discussions, interactive activities and real-life scenarios will be used to enhance your understanding and encourage critical thinking. By the end of this course, you will have the tools and confidence to make responsible choices that promote lifelong wellness and success. 

Team Sports Overview

Welcome to Team Sports. This course is designed for physical activities that involve two or more opposing teams of players who interact directly to achieve an objective, often involving a ball or similiar object. Some examples of team sports are: Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, Softball, Volleyball, Floor Hockey and Basketball. The biggest advantage of team sports involves learning to work with others to achieve a common goal. Team sports requires internal coordination, communication, and problem solving among team members.





 

 

About Me

Hello, my name is Isaiah Taylor. I have a deep passion for education and mentoring young students. I served 23 years in the United States Army and retired in 2020. After my career in the military, I chose to teach because I wanted to continue developing and mentoring the youth who are the future of our society. I also serve as a football and basketball coach and take full advantage of the opportunity to instill discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship into young athletes.
