Class Overview

Anyone can be an artist and make incredible artwork. In my courses, you'll learn how to begin your artistic journey, how to improve your current artwork, and how to stand out with your art. Currently teaching Art 1 and specializing in ceramics, I'm ready and excited to teach you everything you need to know about art. My favorite aspect of teaching what I do is how students are surprised by what they are able to accomplish. It's awesome. It's amazing. And I want you to experience that event. We have many wonderful opportunities in our visual arts programs, and I'm happy to be a part of your artistic journey

About Me

It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm originally from Massachusetts, enjoying my 13th year in high school art education, now on my 8th year at RHHS. My bachelors and masters in Art Education are from Salem State University. I'm now currently working on a doctorate from Georgia Southern University in Curriculum Studies.  I'm currently the department chair of the Fine Arts department of RHHS, as well as the advisor for the National Art Honor Society and Pottery Club. Outside of school, I'm a husband and father of two wonderful boys. I've also had the pleasure of creating artwork for private clients and commercial entities for over a decade, primarily fantasy genre artworks. I'm a firm believer in the impact of art on students, as well as that anyone can be an artist. I look forward to knowing you and mentoring your student!
