Class Overview
Welcome to Ms. Breckenridge’s Class!
Our classroom is a supportive and engaging learning environment where students explore academics, life skills, and vocational readiness, while also diving into science, social studies, and community-based learning.
Through hands-on activities, cooking projects, and interactive lessons, students learn concepts in meaningful, real-world ways. We work on developing independence, communication, and problem-solving skills, all while encouraging each student to reach their personal goals.
Our curriculum is tailored to meet individual needs, using visuals, assistive technology, and multisensory approaches to make learning accessible for all. We also partner with families to ensure students feel confident, supported, and ready for life beyond high school.
This Semester’s Focus:
Science: Life Science – plants, animals, human body systems, and healthy living
Social Studies: U.S. Government – community roles, voting, leaders, and symbols
Weekly hands-on projects
Together, we are building skills for school, work, and life!
