BRVGS Academic Success Skills
Welcome to the BRVGS Academic Success Skills website.
This site has been designed to support students, parents and teachers by providing information on how students can best achieve academic success through goal-setting and research-based strategies for studying, as well as through strong research, writing and teamwork skills.
The information on this site is based on available research, resources from colleges and a great deal of experience in helping to prepare students with critical skills for academic success. BRVGS has gathered a great deal of information about "what works" in preparing students for the demanding academics of college, both through feedback from our graduates and from our program partnerships with the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, James Madison University, Radford University, as well as with local community colleges.
The BRVGS Academic Success Skills website is organized by topic, meaning that each page addresses a different subject related to academic skills listed below. Each page contains a brief summary of the most important information for students to know about the topic, and also contains links to resources, planning documents, etc.
