I am Beth Herndon and I am your Advisor BRVGS Senior Internship Class.
Teaching is a job that I love and this class because it is what you want to make it. You have the freedom to decide what you want to study and the impacts you want to make on your community and as your advisor, I get a front row seat to your journey.
A little bit about me- I am a graduate of Orange County High School (yes, I came back and love it) and Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) with a degree in history and political science, along with a masters degree. If I am not in the classroom, I am probably in my garden or watching some sporting event, again Go Hokies, and also Nationals baseball (World Series Champs!!). I have three boys at the elementary school, two cats (Bernie and Max), a dog (Henry), and the biggest member of the family, a Hereford heifer named Rosemary.

A. If you need help email Ms. Carlton or Ms. Herndon with your question or concern. If it is more an immediate response, call our classroom.
Q. How do I ask for an extension?
A. If you need an extension on an assignment, email Ms. Carlton AND Ms. Herndon before the due date.
Q. How do I let my teacher know I will be 'absent'?
A. Email Ms. Carlton and Ms. Herndon before during or after absence
