Graph one shows the class averages of rosette width for all four types.
Graph three shows the class averages of bolt height for all four types.
Graph five shows the class averages of silique count for all four types.
Graph two shows the trend of class averages of rosette width for all four types.
Graph four shows the trend of class averages of bolt height for all four types.
Graph six shows the trend of class averages of silique count for all four types.
In this experiment, the class' results were all put into data sheets and graphs were made out of each of the averages. The graphs that display the class' averages throughout the course of the experiment show that the mutant experimental group (ME) consistently grew larger than the others. The mutant control group (MC) consistently grew the second largest. Both wild type groups had similar results, but the wild-type control group (WTC) proved to grow slightly more than the wild type experimental group (WTE). These results show correlating data to the final day results as well.
The results prove the class' first hypothesis to be wrong. The mutant control plants grew larger than the wild type control plants.
The second hypothesis was proved right, however, because the mutant experimental group grew larger than the mutant control.
The third hypothesis was proved wrong due to the fact that the mutant experimental group was found to grow larger than the wild type experimental group.
The fourth and last hypothesis was found to be right when the wild type experimental plants grew larger than the wild type control plants.
Finally, the null hypothesis was proved to be wrong due to the fact that the variables significantly affected the results of the experiment.
