Welcome to our website! On this website, you will be able to find everything you need to know about Arabidopsis thaliana and how calcium nitrate has affected it. We hope you enjoy exploring our website and learning more about Arabidopsis thaliana!
Wild Type Control vs. Mutant Control Hypothesis:
The mutant plants, with AAP6 disabled will perform worse than the wild type plants with AAP6 activated, this will be seen by the leaf color, amount of trichomes, bolt height, and the diameter of the rosettes.
Wild Experimental vs. Mutant Experimental Hypothesis:Â
The plants with AAP6 enabled will perform worse than the plants without AAP6 enabled because the added nutrients will overload the Arabidopsis plant, the mutant plants will not have this problem because they will be lacking nutrients due to AAP6 being disabled. This will be measured by rosette diameter, leaf color, bolt height, and number of trichomes.
Mutant Control vs. Mutant Experimental Hypothesis:
The mutant plants with added calcium nitrate will perform better than the mutant plants without calcium nitrate. This will be measured by the amount of trichomes, bolt height, leaf color, and rosette diameter.
Calcium nitrate was selected to our variable so we could inject it into Arabidopsis Thaliana. After it was injected and the experiment was over, the results were used to be studied and compared to other variables. The results conducted from our experiment was sent to Virginia Tech for further research and experiments.
