Our Hypothesis:
If we add 4 drops of .007 milliliters (70 μM) of urea nitrate to our Arabidopsis thaliana plant daily, then the Arabidopsis plants introduced to urea nitrate should experience more rosette growth by 25%, bolt size by 15%, and the number of seed pods should increase by 8%.
Independent Variable: Urea Nitrate
What is Urea Nitrate? Urea nitrate contains nitrogen (from urea) and nitrate (from nitric acid), both important nutrients for plants. Small amounts of urea nitrate can provide nutrients, potentially boosting plant growth.
Why Urea?
We chose this variable because it is a high nitrogen fertilizer that we can see the effects of AAP6 on, as AAP6 regulates amino acid composition and influences nitrogen transport.
About Our Class!
We are Fluvanna's third block class for BRVGS AP Biology! This semester our 17 person class has many important roles in completing the Arabidopsis Thaliana research project. Our presenters include: Annika, Lillian, Mallory, Alex, and Max. Our data collectors and graph creators include: Zoey, Zoe, Ann, and Turner. Our poster group includes: Elizabeth, Mackenzie, Alaina, and James.. Lastly, the people working on this website include: Beckett, Ilee, LaMya, and Aiden.

A Special Thanks to Virginia Tech!
Dear Virginia Tech Biology Department Professors,
Our class wanted to give you a special thanks for helping us with our first semester AP Biology Arabidopsis project. We appreciate all of the time and effort you put into making sure we have the materials and information to carry out our project. The presentation given at the kickoff was extremely helpful for our background knowledge of Arabidopsis. Your team's support made a huge difference, and we hope we get the opportunity to work together again!
Sincerely, Fluvanna Block 3
