Around 3rd century BC ancient India truly started to establish. The ancient Indians created their own medicine around 5000 BC. The ancient Indians used a lot of herbs and natural medicines. Around 4500 BC they developed a complex healthy lifestyle called Ayurveda.
Ayurveda is a healthy way of living. Ayurveda teaches people to use good hygiene. They also use a lot of natural treatments. But Ayurveda is not just physical health but also mental health. Ayurveda also means doing yoga and meditation. Having a healthy mind and body is what Ayurveda is about.

Ayurveda had a huge impact on community health. Ayurveda taught people how not to get diseases. This made day to day life so much easier because people weren't getting each other sick as easily because they had hygiene. Ayurveda spread throughout to other civilizations through Asia.
The invention of medicine in ancient India made such a big impact. It helped community health. Educated people to practice good hygiene and sanitation habits. Another reason why this was so important is that people were taught how to fundamentally take care of themselves.
Natural treatments using herbs, ginger, mustard, melons, and pumpkin were introduced. Ayurveda says to use natural remedies.
