Dear BRSU Community,
The Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) has allocated the American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Recovery Funds (ARP ESSER) to all supervisory unions in the state based on Title I allocations. ARP ESSER funds are intended to be used to support pandemic recovery in our schools and can be accessed through September 30, 2024.
ARP ESSER requires a school system to obtain input from the community in the use of these funds every six months for the duration of the grant. The BRSU is seeking community input for the first time, as we submit our initial request.
Please read through our initial requests as shown in the linked documents, and provide input on future considerations. The window for community input is open from January 31, 2022 through February 11, 2022.
BRSU’s ARP ESSER allocation is $3,443,862
See PowerPoint below for BRSU’s initial investments and context for the grant
Please visit the Community Engagement page for the form to provide input regarding our investments and to make recommendations for future investment considerations
We appreciate your interest in how we invest these funds and welcome your input.
Sincerely,
Randi Lowe, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
