Daily Math Homework

Daily written homework assignments should take no more than 15-20 minutes each day to complete and is a reflection of what has been learned in class that day. Occasionally special projects will be sent home with detailed instructions and a specific due date.

Homework should be...

Neatly completed in pencil (color pencil/crayon if coloring is required, no marker please)
Print only. NO cursive writing.
Initialed in the top right corner by a parent or guardian showing that it has been reviewed and checked by the parent with their child.

Unit 1

Reading Menu & Spelling

Students should read at least 20 minutes a day = 100+ minutes a week

A monthly reading menu can be found in your Friday Folder the first Friday of the month. Reading menus are to be kept at home in a safe space and do not get turned back in. They are to help foster and encourage reading for enjoyment outside of school.

Weekly spelling lists will be sent home each Monday.

Although spelling is not a required homework task, I highly suggest finding time during the week to practice these words in addition to the daily lessons in class. Use this spelling menu at home as you see fit for spelling practice.

There will be a spelling test every Friday.
