The Rite of Spring

This spring, Chamber Orchestra students studied classical opera & varieties of musical dances from the waltz to ballet, including the revolutionary "The Rite of Spring" by Igor Stravinsky. The students discussed the background of the ballet, recorded the music on SoundTrap, and edited their tracks together in groups! (Video is unlisted and not public on Youtube)

A Night in Vienna with Ralston Music

Ralston's Advanced Orchestra and 6th Grade Band did solo performances of one of three prepared Classical and Romantic pieces that were written in or near Vienna. They also wrote variations on a theme through Chrome Music Lab's Song Maker. We hope you enjoy the hard work these students put into their performances and variations!

6th Grade Orchestra Karate & Ensemble Recording

Throughout the year, 6th Grade Orchestra students followed an Orchestra Karate curriculum (developed by Ms. Marks) with repertoire that features classical works in addition to folk music from around the world. Once we finished Orchestra Karate, the students recorded the folk song "In the Field Stood a Birch Tree" on SoundTrap in time with a piano track
