GLOBAL SERVICE INTERRUPTION CHECKLIST AND BUDS HOW-TO
Dear BRP Business Partner,
From January 31 at 5 p.m. to February 6, we will initiate a global service interruption so that we can implement our new enterprise management system. During this period, you will not have access to BOSSWeb. BOSSWeb will come back online in two phases on February 6 and February 13, but some features could take additional time to restore. Although the BRP Call Center will be available, the support teams will have limited capabilities to assist you and your customers.
When we come back online with our upgraded system, you can look forward to subtle but impactful changes involving:
Promotions
New submenu to view program bulletins and greater flexibility to change promotion selection.
Warranty Registration
Warranty OnDemand is an all-new system for warranty registration entry with a new layout, look and feel
PA&A order entry and management
Dealer purchase order number is now a mandatory field and an invoice may now have multiple purchase orders
Unit order entry and management
Look and feel and minor layout adjustments
MARK YOUR CALENDARS: To help you maintain some business continuity during the global service interruption, please complete the following tasks between January 25 and January 30 (to ensure you have the latest versions).
Here is how to update you BUDS licenses between January 25 and January 30, 2023
Before the global five-day service interruption of the BOSSWeb system, it is important that you update your BUDS license. Between January 25 and January 31, 2023, you must update your BUDS license. To perform the update, you must be connected to the internet and do the following:
As a BUDS1 (Legacy) user, manually generate a code within BOSSWeb, log into BUDS Legacy and update the license. This will enable you to use BUDS offline during the service interruption.
As a BUDS2 user, log into BUDS2 and allow your BUDS2 license to update. To renew a BUDS2 license, users just need to launch the diagnostic tool, and enter the BOSSWeb credentials when requested. Even if users are already logged in to BOSSWeb, it's important to re-enter their credentials when prompted.
Note: This is a critical step to complete because if your BUDS license expires during the service interruption period, you will not be able to use BUDS offline and do the following:
Deliver a sold unit to a customer
Program additional keys for units
Diagnose a unit for service
During the service interruption, you will be unable to upload any software to another computer and assign a BUDS license to a new employee.
Thank you,
BRP
