GLOBAL SERVICE INTERRUPTION: HOW TO PREPARE FOR BUSINESS CONTINUITY
We want to ensure that BRP has the right systems and resources to conduct business efficiently. As part of our BRP information system transformation, we’re updating our Global Enterprise System that will alleviate pain points and establish a foundation for future enhancements to BOSSWeb.
There will be a five-day service interruption of the BOSSWeb system between February 1 at 9 a.m. AEDT to February 7. During the service interruption, the BOSSWeb system and certified DMS program will not be available. Although the BRP Call Center will be available, the support teams will have limited capabilities to support you and your customers.
We will work tirelessly to minimize the disruption and inconvenience. So that you can have some business continuity during this period, please complete the following recommended and required actions:
LEAD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
During the service interruption, any leads created will not be accessible in BOSSWeb. The dealer can receive leads during the service interruption if the Owner and Lead Coordinator have their email and mobile phone number in their BOSSWeb profile. Between January 28 to February 14, we will grant a grace period where the service interruption will not impact their Certification related to lead management.
HOW TO UPDATE YOUR BUDS LICENSE
Before the global five-day service interruption of the BOSSWeb system, it is important that you update your BUDS license. Between January 25 and January 31, 2023, you must update your BUDS license. To perform the update, you must be connected to the internet and do the following:
As a BUDS1 (Legacy) user, manually generate a code within BOSSWeb, log into BUDS Legacy and update the license. This will enable you to use BUDS offline during the service interruption.
As a BUDS2 user, log into BUDS2 and allow your BUDS2 license to update. To renew a BUDS2 license, users just need to launch the diagnostic tool, and enter the BOSSWeb credentials when requested. Even if users are already logged in to BOSSWeb, it's important to re-enter their credentials when prompted.
Note: This is a critical step to complete because if your BUDS license expires during the service interruption period, you will not be able to use BUDS offline and do the following:
Deliver a sold unit to a customer
Program additional keys for units
Diagnose a unit for service
During the service interruption, you will be unable to upload any software to another computer and assign a BUDS license to a new employee.
Thank you,
BRP
