Brownwood ISD recognizes the importance of educating staff and students about mental health issues and continues to develop proactive approaches to meet the needs of those students who need mental health support.  The district strives to create a safe and supportive environment that aids in the identification, intervention,and collaboration to serve the needs of identified students.  

As part of this ongoing emphasis, Brownwood ISD maintains a district wide Mental Health Coordinator and Mental Health Specialist, alongside top notch campus School Counselors, working alongside teachers and families to coordinate and provide students the services they need.
